Ajay Meena

Full-Stack Software Engineer — Backend & Event-Driven Systems

I build backend systems around event streams and ledgers — the kind of work where correctness matters more than speed of shipping. Currently working on a multi-entity double-entry accounting platform; before that, signage systems, visitor automation, and internal tools.

About

What I've been doing

Over the past 3.5 years I've moved from junior developer to owning features end to end — across backend APIs, event pipelines, and the React UIs that sit on top of them.

Most of that time has involved ambiguous starting points: picking an architecture during requirement-gathering, building something from a blank repo, or troubleshooting production issues before I had the seniority to do it alone. I'm comfortable in that space — figuring out what's actually needed before writing code, and being accountable for what ships.

Right now that means a multi-ledger double-entry accounting system on Formance, where every posting has to stay balanced, attributed, and reconcilable across entities.

Experience

Where I've worked

Apr 2026 — present
Software Engineer, Full-Stack
Wisflux Tech Labs
  • Contribute to a multi-ledger double-entry accounting system on Formance, keeping every posting balanced and reconcilable across entities.
  • Built the event-sync pipeline streaming MySQL changes through Debezium CDC into Kafka, mapping domain events to deterministic ledger postings.
  • Delivered consolidated batch reporting and PDF export, including fixing a Chromium runtime issue in the containerized report renderer.
  • Stood up observability across the stack — GCP backend telemetry and frontend RUM — to shorten incident diagnosis.
Oct 2024 — Mar 2026
Software Analyst, Full-Stack Developer
WiseApp
  • Designed and shipped a digital signage platform end to end — React frontend, Express REST APIs, MSSQL schema, admin dashboards, device-communication flows.
  • Drove the decision to use React over Angular on performance and maintainability grounds.
  • Supported production troubleshooting alongside senior engineers — reviewing logs, investigating failures, verifying fixes.
Oct 2023 — Oct 2024
Junior Developer
WiseApp
  • Built a face-recognition visitor-automation system (Python, OpenCV, face_recognition) that cut manual form-filling by ~90%, tuned for low false positives.
  • Integrated ElasticSearch for fast facial matching and Dockerized delivery pipelines across distributed teams.
Apr 2023 — Sep 2023
Python Developer
Seek & Save Software LLP
  • Developed Django web apps and internal backend APIs with dynamic AJAX / JavaScript data-handling workflows.

A few things I've built

AI code-review bot

Monitors GitHub PRs and runs rule-based reviews, flagging SQL-injection risks, code-quality violations, and guideline mismatches. Chunk-based PR processing handles large PRs while preserving review context across iterations.

Ledger event-sync pipeline

CDC-based streaming pipeline that turns MySQL writes into Kafka events, driving an event engine that maps business actions to deterministic double-entry postings.

Visitor face-recognition system

Automated visitor check-in with facial matching, replacing manual form-filling. Tuned for low false positives to keep customer trust; Dockerized for delivery across teams.
